I started Laar Design in 2014 as a way to return to what I’ve always loved—residential design that feels personal, intentional, and quietly transformative. I trained as an architect in Brazil before moving to Australia, and over the years, I’ve worked across all sectors of architecture.
But it wasn’t until I designed and built my own home that I realised where my heart truly lies. Since then, I’ve focused on helping others create homes that reflect who they are and how they want to live—spaces that are functional, light-filled, and deeply considered.
My approach is grounded in listening, honesty, and collaboration. I don’t see myself as a stylist or a signature architect—I see myself as a guide. Someone who can bring clarity to your ideas, help you make smart choices, and design a home that feels just right for you.
I’ve built this practice around trust and connection, and I take on only a few projects at a time so I can be present and involved from beginning to end. It’s not about doing things my way—it’s about finding the right way together.
